Fungal spores samples were successfully isolated on cellenONE X1 systems using IBSCITM.
List of fungal spores successfully isolated so far:
Aspergillus Niger
Size of the spores were around 2 to 3.5 µm and 92% of all spores were successfully isolated.
Aspergillus species are usually spherical to oval and form in chains.
Aspergillus niger is a fungus which causes a disease called "black mold" on fruits and vegetables such as grapes, apricots, onions and peanuts.
Today, Aspergillus niger is used to produce a variety of enzymes such as glucose oxidase which is an essential component of sensors used to measure glucose levels in blood.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae, also known as baker´s yeast, were successfully isolated on cellenONE X1 systems using IBSCITM.
Size from the cells were ranging from 3 to 9 µm.
